A concept born in the heart of the Alps
Originally from Morzine, Alex, founder of L'Express Avoriaz, grew up in a family of restaurateurs and hoteliers. After a brilliant career between Lausanne, Lyon and Paris, he decided to leave Parisian life to join the family business and take up a new challenge: launching a fast-food restaurant at 1800 meters altitude, right in the heart of Avoriaz.
The aim? To offer fast, high-quality catering at the foot of three chairlifts, in a resort popular with French and international customers.

Managing intense flows... in an extreme context
Ski resorts are synonymous with special constraints. And there are many of them:
- Transporting goods at altitude
- Optimized deliveries ahead of the season
- Intense rushes in February and March, concentrated on lunch breaks
- A 500m² terrace to manage in all weathers

A digital solution for the field
To meet these challenges, L'Express has opted for digitalization with Innovorder :
- Multilingual ordering station for international customers (French, English, Spanish, German, etc.)
- Production screens (KDS) to streamline order picking
- Online ordering for time-poor ESF, ESI and EVO2 instructors

A promising first season
The facility opened its doors in December 2024, and after four months of operation, the results are positive:
- Rapid familiarization of teams with the tool
- Ultra-smooth operation thanks to terminals
- Good flow management in the kitchen
What next?
Alex announces: the next step is to structure the bar even further, integrate daily specials into the menu, and perhaps even move to table service.
