On the guest side, operation is extremely simple:
- they simply place their tray on the tray scanner and scan their badge.
- They then receive their receipt by e-mail in a matter of seconds, once the operator or AI has validated their tray.
On the operational side, the products of the day have to be entered by the operators in order to train the AI.
Indeed, like all artificial intelligences, IA Scan has to learn to recognize food and containers from several photos before it can retain them and identify them automatically. For this reason, products need to be registered by the artificial intelligence before, during or even after service, thanks to its retroactive validation mode.
Once the dish and its container have been memorized, IA Scan becomes perfectly autonomous and takes over from the cashier.
